Medical Missions in Cambodia

I want you to meet Dr. Tim and Marjie Benadum, the leaders of our newest partner in Cambodia – Mercy Medical Clinic. Tim & Marjie will be here for an afternoon gathering this Saturday, September 28th, from 1:30-3:30 in the Foyer of our new campus on the Brazoria Road (679 Hwy 332 West).

Hear the story of God calling them to leave a successful practice here in the States to create a clinic in Phnom Penh that offers physical healing through medicine and eternal hope through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And learn how you can be involved with our mission in Cambodia.

A little background. I met the Benadums in 2012 through Tamara Stein, one of our members who was living in Cambodia at the time. Tamara has since transitioned out of the ministry she was then serving to become a nurse in their clinic. (She hopes to start work there in early 2014.) I was impressed by Mercy Medical Clinic’s mission to provide physical care for Cambodians that leads to spiritual care – starting Bible studies in patients’ homes that will eventually lead to church plants. And I saw the potential for our folks to partner in their vision. Earlier this year our GlobaLocal, Advisory and Leadership Teams chose to affirm and establish that partnership. This coming January we’ll take our first group of nurses to MMC along with the rest of the team that will serve at Hope for Cambodia Orphanage.

Whether you’ve been to Cambodia or not, I hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to see what God is doing there through your support of our mission here.

Live Bold,

Greg
